Roofing and Exterior Warranty Information
Warranty coverage depends on your product, installation, and written project terms. Understand the difference between manufacturer or material coverage and workmanship coverage before you approve the work.
Atlas Platinum Select contractor. Up to 50 years non-prorated coverage and 10 years workmanship.
Applicable roofing coverage options
Manufacturer/material coverage is separate from workmanship coverage. These are applicable roofing coverage options, not a warranty on every roof or on siding and other exterior work. Ask which options apply to your roof in your written estimate.
These terms are not a blanket warranty on metal roofs, low-slope membranes, roof coatings, or every repair. Ask which roofing system and coverage options apply to your specific project.
Exterior products have their own terms
Siding, gutters, windows, and other exterior work are not covered by the roofing statement above. Ask for the applicable product and workmanship terms, including exclusions and any registration requirements, in writing.
Keep your project documents
Keep the estimate, contract, product details, completion records, and warranty documents together. Follow the applicable care requirements and retain maintenance records.

- What roofing warranty options do you describe?
- Atlas Platinum Select contractor. Up to 50 years non-prorated coverage and 10 years workmanship.
- Does every roof receive those terms?
- No. These are applicable roofing coverage options. The chosen system and written terms determine whether an option applies to your project.
- What is the difference between material and workmanship coverage?
- Manufacturer or material coverage concerns the specified product under its terms. Workmanship coverage concerns the installation work under its terms. They should be reviewed separately.
- Do the Atlas roofing options cover metal or TPO roofs?
- Do not assume they do. Ask for the coverage tied to the exact roofing system in your estimate. The Atlas statement is not a universal warranty on all roof materials.
- Do roofing terms apply to siding, gutters, or windows?
- No. Exterior products and work have separate applicable terms. Request those documents for your project rather than relying on roofing coverage language.
- What does non-prorated mean?
- It generally describes coverage that is not reduced according to product age during the specified period. The actual covered costs, period, exclusions, and conditions are defined by the written warranty.
- What exclusions should I ask about?
- Ask how the written warranty treats weather damage, maintenance, alterations, leaks from other building components, and other exclusions. Do not assume every cause of damage is covered.
- Is registration required?
- Requirements vary by the selected product and coverage. Ask whether registration, completion records, or other documentation are required and who is responsible.
- Does a warranty replace routine maintenance?
- No. Follow the applicable care requirements and keep records. A warranty does not mean drainage, damage, and the condition of exterior materials can be ignored.
- How do I report a possible warranty issue?
- Call or text (208) 739-7656, or use our contact form. Share your project details and the concern. We review the issue and applicable written terms before determining next steps.
